Busy Little Hands

We had a fun night of puzzles and banana muffin baking. Except for a few pieces, she finished one of the 24 piece puzzles all by herself tonight!

Organization

We haven't been able to see our table or counters for a while because I was trying to organize all the stuff I could possibly use with KB for "school". The end result was worth it, I think.

Library Story Time & Crafts

We've become regulars at a local library for story time and there is usually a craft that follows. Here are a few of the crafts from weeks past. KB put so much glue on yesterdays that by the time we got home and it dried completely there was no restoring it. It was a bird hidden in a nest.

Counting

I got this idea of a counting game from another website that I can't remember. I drew tracing numbers on there, too, but since she was on the floor I did not give her the markers.

Our First Guided Drawings

KB and I had our first run at guided drawing tonight. I think she improved just in the time it took to do these pictures. She didn't want to stop but we have a very early morning tomorrow and have to go to bed sometime. =)

The Name Game

KB knows her name and knows her uppercase letters, but she thinks anything that starts with a K is her name. I made this game to help her recognize the letters that are actually in her name...after the K. =) She gets a little frustrated with the clothes pins that are hard to keep open. I just bought some smaller ones that are easier that I will trade out one day.

Old Favorite ---> One New Proud Owner

I loved this crayon holder growing up. My mom found it the other day and sent it over to KB. She is a very proud new owner! When I gave it to her, she said "oh, you found my little shelf!" like she had known about it her whole life!

Mother's Day Crafts

I received these first 2 gifts from KB in her Sunday school class. The first is a MOM bracelet and the other was a Mom booklet, but I just took a picture of my favorite page.

This third picture is a craft we did at home. Yes, I made my own Mother's Day craft. =)

Sorting

KB wanted to play a game so I gave her a bucket of buttons and told her to sort out the colors.

Thanks to Annie and her mommy for KB's latest surprise! It's a super soft Dora blanket!

Look what we did today! I helped her with the outside and then she did the middle pieces all by herself! She was proud!

"You're the best!"

I have some ideas of games to make over the summer for next year and for those games, I will need game pieces. I decided to make these tonight with KB. They're very simple magnet buttons with pompoms on them, but as KB was making them this is what I heard: "Mom! You're the best. I love making things with you; it's so much fun!!" I'll make game pieces with her any night!
