This weeks book described different emotions.

KB's interview - I didn't know babies made her sad, but I do know wanting to watch the baby show last night and it not being on did make her sad, lol.

Week 5 - Simple Science

"Electric" Hair

For this weeks simple science we simply rubbed KB's head with a balloon to get the static electricity to make her hair stand up.

Week 4 - Learning Through Literature

Two Sticks - This is a story about a girl who has 2 sticks and really wants a drum. She drums on everything, but her parents won't get her a drum. She takes her 2 sticks outside and ends up in a swamp with crocodiles. She plays her 2 sticks on the crocodiles and they follow her home. Her parents then decide she can have a drum if she'll get the crocodiles out of their house.
our booklet cover page

crocodile coloring and tracing

rhyming sheet - a lot of rhyming in this book

a swamp coloring page

this is where it gets a little confusing to me....a picture of KB's favorite drum is a picture of all of us going to bed.... (in her defense, when the girl brings the crocodiles home they wake her parents up and the picture looks like this)

Week 3 - Simple Science

The butterfly life cycle we talked about with The Very Hungry Caterpillar also served as our Simple Science for this week. See post below for a picture.

Week 3 - Learning Through Literature

We started a new thing this week. We read this book every day and by today I pretty much just turned the pages and the kids "read" it to me.
cover page of our little booklet

caterpillar/butterfly life cycle
( in the world of 3 year olds....the worm goes in to the 'raccoon' to sleep)

our graph of how much he ate - discussed which day he ate the most/least, etc.

we drew a picture of what they thought was the best part of the book
( this is KB's butterfly in sections....wings at the top and then the purple figure is the head and legs, lol)
